The Finance Manager position is measured by several factors including, but not limited to building a Business Partner relationship between the Finance department & management teams while meeting/exceeding organizational goals.
The Manager of Finance oversees the accounting, finance, payroll, benefits, audit, financial reporting, investment, and budgeting functions for our organization; provides oversight in area of facilities and physical plant; provide superb fiscal management services to all our programs and proactively develops and implements effective processes, procedures and systems; deliver useful information and analysis and supports decision-making and short and long-range planning. Collaborates work with the CEO and Corporate Leadership Team to assess the financial dimensions of new opportunities; and plays an important role in shaping the future of Computer Systems Institute.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include: management responsibility for annual and monthly financial statements, budgets and forecasts, A/P, A/R, cash management, accounting policies, processes, and procedures, insurance, banking relationships and other professional services, annual audit support, tax-related reporting and filing, MIS, as well as the planning, direction and preparation of full, accurate and timely accounting records and reporting, including required communication or filings with any government agencies.
Duties include: leadership in developing financial modeling and scenario planning and providing updates to functional and program management planning assumptions. Leadership and participation in analysis of new opportunities. Development and maintenance of performance indicators, metrics and benchmarking. Analytical tool and process development. Analysis and understanding of cost drivers. Provide reports and advice to CSI’s President and Executive Vice President. Will also incorporate research and findings into long-range planning and analytics.
Financial Services Development
Provide proactive leadership with respect to process improvements. Develops and/or enhances, and implements, accounting policy, procedures and systems, and internal controls and standards. Develops strong, high-value MIS.

Education and Experience
The position requires a Bachelor Degree or MBA in Finance or Accounting, CPA highly preferred.
Heavy accounting and finance exposure and background within the Education industry with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience preferred.
Experience working directly with senior executives to achieve strategic initiatives.
Ability to get key objectives accomplished though others – both direct report leaders as well as through leaders outside direct reporting relationship.
